Self Help Africa (SHA) is an international development organization founded in Ireland in 1965, with headquarters in Ireland and the United States and operations across seven African countries: Nigeria, Ethiopia, Kenya, Burkina Faso, Malawi, Mozambique, and Zambia. SHA has a proven track record of successfully designing and delivering large-scale, donor-funded programs, supported by leading development partners including Irish Aid, the UK Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO), the European Union, Mastercard Foundation, GiveWell and other international agencies. Operating in Nigeria since 1999, SHA has built extensive experience in designing and implementing community-centered, systems-strengthening interventions that address poverty, public health, climate resilience, and sustainable development.
