FOR THE PROCUREMENT AND DISTRIBUTION OF VOCATIONAL TRAINING STARTER KITS FOR TRAINEES OF IDEAS-TVET INITIATIVE ACROSS SIX GEOPOLITICAL ZONES OF NIGERIA
REQUEST FOR INFORMATION
The Federal Government of Nigeria, through the Federal Ministry of Education (FME), has received financing from the World Bank toward the Innovation Development and Effectiveness in Acquisition of Skills (IDEAS)Project, a transformative US$200 million national initiative aimed at improving skills acquisition in Nigeria using a comprehensive approach and addressing key aspects of the skills development delivery system. The Innovation Development and Effectiveness in the Acquisition of Skills (IDEAS) Project intends to procure, supply, distribute and deliver Vocational Training Starter Kits to approximately 40,000 trainees across the six geopolitical zones of Nigeria under the IDEAS-TVET Initiative.
The starter kits will support beneficiaries trained in various trades/skills including Agriculture, Hospitality, Engineering, Building Construction, Digital Skills and Renewable Energy.
Considering the scale, nationwide coverage, security and logistics complexities associated with this assignment, the Project is conducting an Early Market Engagement (EME) through this Request for Information (RFI) to obtain market intelligence, innovative delivery approaches, supply chain strategies and implementation recommendations from prospective manufacturers, suppliers, assemblers, distributors, logistics firms and consortiums.
Objectives of the Early Market Engagement (EME)
A. Obtain market feedback to refine the Employer’s Requirements (ER) and procurement approach for the assignment.
B. Clarify project scope, timelines, technical expectations, and regulatory requirements for the upcoming Bidding process.
C. Create awareness and stimulate interest among qualified Contractors.
