The U.S. EMBASSY, ABUJA, is seeking a reputable contractor to provide the rental of one (1) 375 KVA (415/240V, 50Hz) sound-attenuated/weatherproof diesel generator at the Aspen residential compound located at Plot 3103, Murtala Mohammed Expressway, Mpape, Abuja, Nigeria.

You are invited to submit a quotation.

Requirements:

The contractor shall provide the 375 KVA generator rental as per the attached Statement of Work (SOW). The rental is for a minimum period of one (1) month, renewable monthly up to a maximum of six (6) months. The contractor shall deliver, install, operate, maintain, and subsequently remove the generator, placing it in a ready automatic mode connected to the compound’s automatic transfer switch.

Key requirements include:

  • Provide all supervision, labor, tools, equipment, and materials to safely transfer, install, and commission the 375 KVA rented generator at the Aspen compound, and to remove it upon expiration of the contract.
  • Furnish a generator in good working condition with running hours not exceeding 5,000 hours prior to delivery.
  • Deliver, install, and render the generator fully functional within 24 hours after Notice to Proceed (NTP), connected to the automatic transfer switch to start and run automatically upon utility power failure and shut down when utility power is restored.
  • Perform all preventive maintenance and repairs throughout the rental period, furnishing all required tools and materials; limit maintenance shutdowns to a maximum of 8 hours per interval, and provide alternative backup power if any maintenance or repair exceeds 8 hours.
  • Commission and load-test the generator in the presence of the Embassy representative.
  • Comply with local and international standards for generator installation and with OSHA codes and regulations and/or local safety guidelines, whichever is most stringent; provide all PPE and execute lock-out/tag-out procedures.

For your quotation to be considered responsive, please note the following requirements:

  1. All responses shall be submitted using the same subject line, and copied to: AbujaProcurement@state.gov
  2. Include your performance/delivery schedule, complete specifications, detailed bill of quantities, and itemized cost breakdown covering all labor, materials, tools, equipment, mobilization/demobilization, engineering, and supervision.
  3. Submit product data and samples for all materials to be used for COR pre-approval.
  4. Submit your quotation no later than August 7, 2026.
  5. Please note that, as a diplomatic mission, the U.S. Embassy Abuja is tax exempt; quoted prices shall be exclusive of VAT.

The contractor shall make advance access requests for personnel, materials, equipment, and vehicles for USG approval. All contractor personnel require photo IDs to access the USG compound.
