GIZ NIGERIA & ECOWAS-INVITATION TO TENDER FOR PROCUREMENT OF IT EQUIPMENT

CALL FOR DIRECT TENDER
GERMAN COOPERATION

GIZ NIGERIA & ECOWAS, an international development organization on behalf of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and co-funded by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC), would like to procure “PROCUREMENT OF IT EQUIPMENT”.

Accordingly, GIZ invites interested Bidders to furnish GIZ Nigeria Country Office with the following:

a. An official letter expressing interest on a Company Letterhead which must include CAC TIN No, Address, Contacts person, area of specialization, Email address and a phone number. (1 page only)

b. Evidence of Tax payment (TCC) for 2023, 2024 and 2025 or more recent with a combined average annual turnover of NGN 25,000,000.00. (1 page only)

c. Comprehensive Company Profile, including average number of employees in the past three years. (max of 5 pages only).

d. Evidence of two references of previous similar purchase orders in supply of IT equipment with a minimum of NGN 25,000,000.00 combined within the last three years. (only third-party evidence is required)

Important Note: Send your submission as a single PDF attachment. (Combine the above documents starting from item a to item d). Multiple attachments attract disqualification.

For consideration, all interested bidders should submit the aforementioned documents in PDF format addressed as follows:

BACKGROUND

The FHI360 STRIDES Global Health Security (GHS) Project, with funding support from the United States Department of State, continues to provide strategic technical assistance to the Government of Nigeria in strengthening capacities for disease preparedness, detection, and response. In alignment with the Joint External Evaluation (JEE 2023) and the National Action Plan for Health Security (NAPHS 2.0), targeted interventions are currently being implemented across the STRIDES supported states to address critical gaps in national laboratory systems, biosafety and biosecurity, and infection prevention and control.

Persistent gaps have been observed in the availability of essential commodities required to effectively operationalize these interventions.

In response to these gaps, the project proposes the procurement of essential Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to strengthen biosafety, biosecurity, and Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) practices across supported health facilities and laboratories. The procurement will include critical PPE required to protect laboratory personnel and healthcare workers from occupational exposure to infectious hazards, promote safe handling of biological materials, and support compliance with national and international biosafety and IPC standards.
